Rare crab re-appears in Malacca

Rare crab re-appears in Malacca These crabs have a cross-like mark on its shell. Saint. Francis Xavier dipped his crucifix into the sea and prayed to God to calm the raging storm. The crucific slipped from his grip and fell into the sea. Saint Francis Xavier prayed that he could get it back. When Saint Francis Xavier reached the shore safely, he saw such crabs crawling on the beach in Malacca and clutching the same crucifix between its claws. Saint Francis knelt down, recovered his crucifix, blessed the crab and the sign of the Cross then appeared on its back. These crabs appeared 50 years ago in Malacca and resurfaced again along Tranquerah Road in Malacca on Sunday 25th. September 2011
